The Cardiology group is part of section for Surgery, Neurology and Cardiology at the University Companion Animal Teaching Hospital

The group consists of 4 veterinarians and one veterinary nurse.

Besides Veterinarians and nurses we have a number of Master Thesis Students working in our group on our research at all time.

 

The Cardiology group at University Hospital for Companion Animals has several important tasks. We are dedicated to improve the quality of life in our companion animal patients. We are engaged in heart disease prevention as well as development and application of newest diagnostic and therapeutic methods. Our research are focussed on disease mechanism as well as optimization of diagnostic methods and treatment.

Our purpose at University Hospital for Companion Animals  can be summarized into the following:

  • Diagnosis and treatment of heart disease in dogs and cats 
  • Teaching of Veterinary Bachelor and Master students
  • Research
